Newsletter Block

These are the settings for the Atomic Blocks, Newsletter block.

The Newsletter block is an easy way to add a Mailchimp signup form to your web pages.

At the time of writing this post, Mailchimp is the only list provider that the newsletter block works with. This might or might not change as time goes on. However Mailchimp is an excellent choice, especially if you have less than 2000 subscribers.

Your API key

You’ll need your Mailchimp API key ready before you add the newsletter block to your posts or pages.

Place the Newsletter block in your page

You will see this message…

After you click the link that says configure settings you’ll see this page…

Click the link that says Find your Mailchimp API key.

After you paste your API key into the box you will see this…

The settings: find these in the sidebar

Newsletter settings

1.) If you have more than one Mailchimp newsletter setup in your Mailchimp account, you’ll see them listed in this drop down. Choose the one you want to add to this page.

2.) Type your own more personal message in this box.

Button size and block padding

3.) If you give your signup form a background color, add some padding here.

4.) Choose a button size and shape.

Colors

5.) Your signup form is inside a container. Add a color to that container and set the color of the text here.

6.) Set the color of the button and the color of the text on the button here.

7.) If you understand CSS you can add Additional CSS Classes here.
